Join us at the Sandpiper Gift & Yarn Shop/Hoof-to-Hanger Fiber Mill! Have some fun with fellow artists on the second Saturday of each month..Enjoy the company of fellow designers and creators of various arts and crafts! Our 'creative space' is open to knitters, crocheters, spinners, scrap bookers, painters, quilters, wood workers, felters, jewelry makers......and the list goes on! Bring along your artful endeavors and share in the camaraderie of like-minded thinkers! All participants will receive 15% off all purchases in our gift and yarn shop on Saturday.

March 8th - Beginner's Needle Felting Class!

Join us Friday, March 8th, 1-4 pm, for a beginners needle felting class. Instructor Paula Vogie will guide you through the creation of a Valais Blacknose Lamb and a Majestic Maned Lion. The Lamb is beginner level and the Lion is beginner/intermediate level. Class participants may create a Lamb and a Lion or two Lambs. What's your comfort level? Class will be held in the Hoof-to-Hanger Fiber Mill 4217 Lake St Bridgman, MI. Class fee - $45 (due at class time, cash or check) with all materials included. A 15% discount will be given to all items purchased in our Sandpiper Gift & Yarn Shop for those participants. Class size is limited to 12 participants, email Anna sandpiper4217@gmail.com for registration. If your Lamb/Lion isn’t quite finished March 8th, join us March 9th (12-5PM) as we gather for our 'Creative Place-Listen to Your Art' crafting and art-minded group to complete your design! See you then!

April 27th - Art Attack! Celebrate Artisan's Designs and LYS ~ Local Yarn Store Day!  We're celebrating Harbor Country's Art Attack, Artisan's Designs, and the National Observation of Local Yarn Store Day Saturday, April 27th, 10-5PM. Join us for a day of fun! Create a macrame keychain with Banana Knots, enjoy refreshments, prize drawings, and tours of the mill (12-4PM). Support your Local Yarn Store! We can't wait to see you!

June 1st-August 31st - Come-Bye Fiber Trail.

Join us on a fiber~y adventure through the Midwest! Visit and discover fiber vendors this summer! Some of our vendors sell yarn, some sell roving, some sell wool fabric and needlepoint supplies. July 26th-August 4th - Heartland Yarn Adventure 2024 

Grab a friend and start planning your summertime road trip to the beautiful yarn shops in the Heartland! Please note: it's not about visiting all the shops! It's about picking an area for an adventure and having fun. Start anywhere you like from northern Michigan to northern Kentucky, mid-Indiana, and all the way across Ohio. October 12th -  National I Love Yarn Day Celebration & Creative Place ~ Listen to Your Art

We're celebrating National I love Yarn Day on our second Saturday of the month gathering! Enjoy a tour of the mill, yarn & other items on sale in our boutique, and refreshments!
